Top 7 Best Dog Gates

The main decision with a dog gate is pressure-mounted versus hardware-mounted: pressure gates are easier to install and move but aren't rated for the top of stairs, where a hardware-mounted gate is the safer choice. Beyond that, check the gate's width range against your actual doorway (extension panels are often sold separately) and whether a small dog can squeeze through the bottom gap on models with ground clearance.
